does soft LUD mean RFE is comming or does it mean there are just pre adjudicating. Seems like a lot of people who got a soft LUD on 485 recieved rfe. Are there any people who had a soft lud on 485 but did not recieve any rfe.
semilarly does not having any soft LUD on 485 mean your application has not been picked up for pre adjudication.
Not always true. They might be pre adjudicating. My 485 app had soft LUD on 02/10 and no RFE till today...

We are languishing close to 85K. It is very important that we reach 150K very soon. There are some big decisions pending because of that.
That's bad... I had send one more contribution of $100, hope it helps.

EB3 I is going to have a long wait. I had applied for Canadian green card and had received it. At present i have EAD and AP. Is it worthwhile to go into consular processing and work in canada or apply for a blue card or think about Australia. If this sounds okay how should i proceed.

That is right. There are people knowingly get into dirty deals with employers like
(1) Faking experience
(2) Working out per diems in percentages
(3) Changing job titles to suit their needs
(4) Most important - employee tries to do what he/she can to keep employer happy as the green card petition is filed - I have seen this - people I know do this - they lick the boots of their employer - get coworkers fired so that their jobs are secure - get personal in alomost everything with employer so that they feel secure and job satisfied - These are the people who come out anonymously and talk bad bad things about their employer because they know they are into a screwed up relationship - no pay hikes, employer cheating on perdiems - employer knows employee is ass kissing and talks sweet but exploits - employee knows that things are not going to be the same for a prollonged period - puts a false mask and blames organizations like IV for not doing anything - these are the folks who encourage employers to do what they want to do.
And the day these employees get their green cards, they will open they companies and will do the same thing to the new immigrants; and the circus will go on.

Just click on Most Popular. The two questions are #25 and #32 @ 9:02 PM. Lets bring these to top 10.
Here are the questions again -
This question is NOT about Illegal immigration but Legal Immigration issues at the govt. level... What do you think of and plan to do about the broken naturalization process that is currently hurting nearly half million highly-skilled and taxpaying legal immigrants already working productively in the United States who find themselves trapped in a system that is taking years longer than intended. The greatest impact of the broken green card process is borne by the legal immigrants and their families. Some of the major grievances faced by the legal immigrants are that they are forced to be stuck with the same employer for years; their spouses not allowed to work, they have a very limited travel freedom and so on. With the current backlog in the system a highly skilled high-tech engineer could take up to 7-10 years to get a green card. Isn't that an unfair deal for a person who works so hard to fulfill his American dream? Again: This question is NOT about Illegal immigration but Legal Immigration issues at the govt. level...
Illegal immigration has been a topic of heated debate and has received much needed attention during this election. In the midst of all the hype and bickering about ILLEGAL immigration, there is a group of people, often forgotten and ignored, who are caught up in a bureaucratic mess and yet are patiently waiting on the path to LEGAL immigration. This is a group of high skilled workers, most of whom have advanced degrees in medicine, engineering and science from Universities in the US. These people have obeyed all laws, worked hard, paid taxes and waited their turn, many for a decade, because of a system that is hopelessly broken and inefficient. I am one of these people and I have been in the US legally for 10 years and still years away from getting a green card. As the President of the United States how do you intend to address the problems faced by future Americans already living and working LEGALLY in the United States? Please note, this question is NOT about ILLEGAL immigration but about LEGAL immigration.

Wear your company shirts/ your old company shirts, spouses can wear additional t shirts.
Business casual t shirts must also be fine.
Company's shirts will give excellent media attention.
If you are worried about present company, you may consider wearing shirt from previous company.
You can wear your school shirts also to show that you went to that school.

351. That is the total count of contributors.
Assumptions:
1. We will have 500 contributors for this funding drive.
2. Taking a percentage of the people voting yes we get 500*42/60=350 (this changes as the voting continues)
Cash flow with paid membership
------------------------------
$8750 per month or a $105,000 per year.
Result:
Probability of getting newer members is less. Contributions to funding drive may decline altogether if we do not allow people who visit the site to ask questions.
To generate the same cash flow with monthly funding drives
---------------------------------------------------------
assuming an average of $50 per month=175 people.
Probability of getting more people to contribute per month is higher. Getting more commitments is higher. Getting commitment from different set of people is higher and many may chose to make one time payments.
I may be wrong but I am open to other calcs as well.

US law offers student 1 year OPT to gain experience and find employment.
So you made use of this opportunity and you are asking others not to do what the law allows them to?...
fyi.. I am an EB2 I candidate and fyi I did not port but I will not stand in the way of people wanting to get out of the clutches of those employers who act cheap.

Just finished calling the offices of all the representatives listed for Phase 3. Took me about 15 min to complete it. Left a voice mail for congressman Calvert's office. They staff persons were all very polite and did note down the information and mentioned that they'll pass on the information.
Urging more members to call and keep the momentum going. I will try and ask some of my friends affected by GC to participate in this activity as well.

Understood. Now you want all H1 L1 B1 everything to be stopped. So lets vote only for EAD/AP/GC till you get your GC. After that US should stop GC also, right? (but ofcourse, naturalization still should remain open for a few more years).
If one person can work for your job at $8/hr, and you are charging $100/hr, market would adjust itself to $8/hr (for a moment forget about who does this $8/hr, it can be a high-school kid, or anybody). The only reason why somebody blames that $8/hr kid for loosing his job is because he "thinks" he is "superior" to that kid. There are many situations where companies decide to retain "fresh college grads" and layoff "senior experienced" persons, to save money.
Don't take me wrong, but I also think the L1 is mis-used a bit. But I personally think the mis-usage comes from other factors (like H1 unavailability, employer prefer L1 because employee cannot change to another employer in L1, other H1 restrictions) etc..
.....I wish this bill passes with full effect

will you be a member? I would propose we charge a mere $25 fee for registering and then monthly contribution of say $25. Then we run special funding drives for lobbying when ever required. Will you be a paid member to come out of GC mess?
Please participate in the poll.
No...Because this is FOREM a please where people express their opinion ….if you commercialize .will loss purpose. Not a good idea.

Talking about one case where a navy officer could not appear to remove condition on her Permanent Residency. She was then served a notice of intent to deny or put in deportation proceedings. I guess still 6020.

I think we need to study the bill in detail before we jump to any conclusions.
From reading the summary in the AILA website, specifically the below :
The legislation would reinforce our commitment to families and reduce current wait times in the family immigration system by:
Recapturing an estimated 400,000 family-sponsored and employment-based visas that went unused between 1992 and 2007.
Atleast to me it seems like the bill plans on using all the unused visas from the past years and apply that towards the family quota. Not sure if that would help the EB cause.
Inputs anyone?

First. congrats alterego- 4 yrs after 485 filing is a long long time to go.
Not that I know of. There are two 140 but both have AOS option - Is it normal that 140 application goes back to USCIS office ? AFAIK, there is nothing wrong with my 140 application . It is st. B.Tech+ MS+2 yrs type of case with permanent job (no consulting)
