All those who are questioning my profile details please check the public profile of mine. It has more info than most of you (Mr.internet) have in your own. To those who are calling to close this thread - Already someone modified the poll and added two new options, I won't be surprised if it is closed. If it is it will only show how fake some of you are when you talk about a few reasons ( not all) why GC backlogged should be solved fast.
Someone wanted the moderators to ban me. Tell me why I should be banned? Do you say you just want everyone to only listen to what you say and what you want them to do? You can't tolerate others' opinions and thoughts?

a) immigrationvoice.com is a tool for the Immigration Voice organization. This website/forum has 10K members, and in any population of 10,000 people, you will get all sorts and kinds of people. There will be no unanimity of views. So, when it doesn't cost to express an opinion, you will get lots of opinions.
As we get more and more members, the number of opinions is only going to increase.

I would request you and your like-minded friend not to confuse the organization with the website.

This forum provides good live information (when there is a senate testimony, or call Senator session's office campaign going on), and sometimes useful information and announcements.
But most of the time, you will get opinions, and comic relief from here.
Friend of mine (to whom I contacted regarding IV) is in USA for 7 years and knows how lobbying & party funds are raised (including Watergate) and also very much aware of "Retrogression" and problems of being "Legal".
Also, he is aware of cause of IV and appreciate that but he is un-comfortable because whenever he login to IV, he noticed that:
- more than 40-50% respondents are talking about money/contributions & signatures showing how much they have contributed as of today,
- 10-15% are talking about blocking non-contributors(calling by Free Lunchers etc..),
- 5 % are Pseudo intellectuals (talking BIG but dont know immigration basics like - PD, issues of I-140/I485)
- 5% are always trying to shutdown others, accusing/calling by names to other forum members (he says "Highly skilled" in accusing!!)
- and remaining are "Positive" contributors for IVs retrogression cause (talking about - I spoke to senators office, can we arrange rallies, when to Fax/fliers, when State chapters are going to meet, posting excerpts from senate/CSPAN/News etc..)
Is our audience is so? Can we focus on our cause? pl be together like.. Like-Minded!!!

Exactly my thoughts. However, that does not mean that I am not proud of heritage and culture of my country-of-origin.
The vast majority of people are here on these forums for getting their GC and USC.
I appreciate everyone who has congratulated me. Thank you so much. Please note that I sill belong to legal immigrant community and nothing can change that.
Good Luck to everyone (and that includes people who have given me red dots with comments) and I hope you get your GC soon.

Anyway, I am still confused. If I am proud of my country of origin and its heritage then it must be absolutely impossible for me to entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity with my country of origin. That is the expectation every human society or country generally have and must have to advance its own culture. Well I can not see myself fitting in that "Ethics watch" if I am changiing citizenship. If I am changing citizenship I absolutely do not have strong ethical connection with my heritage and country. And in that case it is fine to change citizenship for me and if I do that I would not speak about pride to my heritage and country. And if I am really and sincerely proud of my country of origin I would not become citizen of other country in spite of any attractive lure. It is that simple.

i am with you. we should request that USCIS recapture unused visas!
Lets ask Core not to just go with the temporary fix of July visa bulliten.
We might apply for EAD and AP but what if they throw our papers some where and repeat the same thing.
This time they will be very careful in issuing visa bulliten
In future very slow progression in visa dates...adjudicating cases very slowly always stating that due to july visa bulliten we have lots of cases ...we will not be able to do anything until we sort ou...blah blah...

The congress talks about fixing illegal immigration..Lets ask them to fix the legal immigration first.
Unless we are really strong about it...nothing can be accomplished..
They cant fix the existing legal system but they are ready with the plans of fixing illegal immigration...of course it failed but still they had big impact...

This might sound weired..but I think we can get some support from Housing Market !
Facts:

The housing market is slowing down significantly and there are millions of unsold homes out there.
More than 1/2 million people are stuck in the green card process. I am sure
most are waiting for green card before they buy their house and make longtime commitment.
I think we are a "Frozen" pool of customers for the Housing Market.
500000 H1B X 300000 (average house price) = 150 billion dollar market is just
inaccessible just because of retrogression.
I think we should convince them to help us FINANCIALY

another common tactic is to bounce checks on pretext that signature on check does not match that on signature card.
one more is to freeze the accoutn for inactivity > 90 days.
I have been victim on more than 1 occasion for each of above tactics. Each time its annoyance ( writing letter. nothing gets done online), fees charged and increased blood pressure.
Unfortunately switching costs are high due to time taken to open new accounts and there is no guarantee that others are any better.
You are right. I was also a victim of account being frozen. It is really frustrating to see that your account has been frozen when you have to urgently send money. They do not even notify the customers before the account is frozen.

Total Number of Cases: over 300,000
Processing status by the Two Backlog Elimination Centers:
Total 100% Dallas (152,000+) Phily (169,000+)
Pending 33% 33% 36%
Completed 67% (1) Certified 33% 33%
" (2) Closed 21% 20%
" (3) Withdrawn 11% 08%
" (4) Denied 01% 02%

You cannot do CP for your spouse unless your I-485 is approved (an immigrant visa number is available for you). That is why the adjustment of status within the US is so much more preferable for most people - it lets you and the spouse get the EAD and start working without waiting for the approval of your GC.
My suggestion for you is to get all the paperwork ready for you and your spouse right now. (Except the medical exam for your spouse which has to be done in the US). The medical exam can be completed in 2 days.
Also, there is a chance that the dates will still remain current for the Aug visa bulletin, since the bulletin will get published by the middle of July, and the USCIS will not have an accurate idea of how many applications they will be getting in July. It looks like the retrogression will hit in either Sep or Oct but with USCIS we never know.

I wont get into EB2/EB3 fights, but tell you what my opinion about this is.
The law definitely supports interfiling and priority date porting. However, this is like reserving seats on a bus by throwing your handkerchief in good old India. It is unfair to let people jump ahead in the queue, even though they acquired the eligibility to file in EB2, at a far later date.
There might be some genuine cases where people could not file in EB2, even though they were eligible. I only support these cases.
I've a pending EB2 485. However, let me be honest. If I had EB3 to start with, I too would've interfiled in EB2 and would've ported my priority date. Who wouldn't do it if the law allowed them to!

Ok, clearly you did not read what I wrote or you did not understand it. Here is what I wrote..
"Well, I don't think gctest is against EB3. He is against consultants from sleazy bodyshopping companies, which is right.". Some one left me a red saying "not all consultants from sleazy bodyshopping companies are incapable." I agree and I never said that. If I came across that way then I apologize.
Everybody is trying to survive in this world ..diff people react differently to same situation..lying on resume/achievements is not illegal(reason y no body is prosecuted because of this fact..they are simply denied that benefit) however its unethical ..but iam not here to preach ethics.

Iam not supporting any malpractises are anything anyways this is not a criminal thing its just immoral ..
Malpractices are criminal (if law is violated) but a corporation cannot be tried criminally because it cannot go to jail.:)

Is it true that for a company w/ more than 100 employees, a statement letter from the CFO will be adequate as a proof for ability to pay? What info should the CFO be included in the letter?
I was so screwed by my lawyer in the LC process so I plan on DIY for the I-140 & 485.
